Falcon Tools (Hampton) Ltd. is a family owned business, which is currently run by the second generation and is about to proceed to its third generation.

The Company was founded by F.E.Flint in November who was soon joined by his wife. The company had its roots in Falcon Road, Hampton where it started its life manufacturing components for the Aircraft Industry and the Ministry of Defence.

After 5 years of trading the Company became Limited and was incorporated on 8th January 1947. The Company had by then branched out into presswork and the manufacture of press tools. The Company expanded and moved to Station Road, Hampton in 1948 before moving to Sunbury in 1958 and then on to its present site in 1963. It was then that the company bought out a shearing business, E.F.Richardson (London) to supply its increased demand for material and to supply customers with cut blanks and strips in various gauges.

Due to the increased demand for guillotined strips and cut blanks from the steel supply side of the business, it became clear in the early 1980's that it would be cheaper to buy master coils of steel in various widths and gauges. We would then send them to major decoiling companies to cut to specified lengths, thus reducing the amount of scrap material. This proved successful for a couple of years but due to the delays in processing of master coils it was decided to install our own decoiling line.

In 1984 the Company purchased a Bronx 'Cut-To-Length' Line and it was commissioned in August 1984. It was originally anticipated that we would be processing about 600 tonnes per month but this has been well exceeded and we are currently decoiling up to 100 tonnes per day.

During the past few years the fabrication shop has changed from all power presses to a combination of CNC punching and promecams together with the traditional power presses. In the early 1990's the company acquired a wire working company which added yet further capacity in manufacturing within the group.
